The All-College Writing Contest is made to encourage interest and quality in scholarly writing by all students that are undergraduate at the school. The competition is sponsored because of the Writing Center and juried by faculty members from a number of procedures.
Pupils whoever documents winnings honors when you look at the All-College Writing Contest make educational distinction respected at the Honors that is appropriate Convocation. Winning essays are posted in Lake Forest’s on the web book, Lake Forest Papers, and the champion gets a money award.

All-College Writing Contest Rules
1. All Lake Forest College undergraduate students may take part.
2. Expository writing (no fiction or poetry) from any Lake Forest university course.
3. Just one entry per pupil may be submitted.
4. Entries should always be submitted electronically.
5. No senior thesis can be granted the All-College writing award.
6. Documents are judged on quality of prose, usage of proof, and quality of argument.
7. Lake Forest university faculty people judge all documents utilizing a blind review procedure.
8. Please follow these tips:
a. Title web page will include the paper’s title, your name (your name should appear only in the name web web web page), while the program and teacher for who the paper had been written.
b. The complete name should show up on 1st web web page of text; a partial title should show up on all the pages of text.
c. Number all text pages.
d. Double-space all text.

9. The champion shall get a money reward, publication in Lake Forest’s online book, Lake Forest Papers, and recognition at Honors Convocation.
